This was one week ago on a Friday and the girl said she would call us on monday to let us know how things were coming along. So that was good and we left so the girl behind the counter could fill out the paperwork. We found someone to take over the contract and went into rentmaster to take care of the paperwork and the girl behind the counter said that the person who was going to take over the contract had to pay $585 and she wouldn't budge.Īnother lady came over and said that we could put an addendum on the contract so the price would still be $525. The girl on the phone said that it is no problem. We had to move for my wife's student teaching so we called Rentmaster and asked them if we had someone take over the contract that they would still charge the $525. – Rentmaster took over Green Gables a month ago and it has been terrible ever since. We ve met three other BYUI couples that were also scammed by these people. They still wont give you your deposit back. In my opinion, don t even bother cleaning if you leave.
When we asked for our deposit back, the Manager Jenn made up excuses and said she had pictures that the apartment was dirty but never produced them. I checked everything on the list myself before we left. When our lease ended, my wife slaved for two days cleaning the apartment white glove spotless. Our feet were black in our new apartment after 20 minutes. They do a $500.00 deposit then take $100.00 right off the bat and say its for carpet cleaning but never clean the carpets. The property Manager Jenn did everything she could to rob us of our Deposit even after paying rent on time every time for six months. Meth dealers lived in the apartment above us, and armed Rexburg Police raided the building. Very bad living conditions that might not even be legal.
